Another year is in the books for the best gathering of vintage and custom motorcycles in the Circle City. Rockers Reunion Indianapolis has logged its 10th year and maintaining its reputation as a must-attend bike show in the Midwest. Take a spin through these pictures for our moto-culture highlights…
We appreciate a good, midwestern bike event. Chicago, Louisville, Indy, Cincy and, for this story, Milwaukee; they’re towns with a quiet patina inhabited by hardworking, humble people. Many of these good people also like to have fun, like Scott Johnson and Warren Heir, Jr. These guys have a healthy respect for motorcycle culture and their well-earned reputation in the region drew thousands of likeminded fanatics to the Mama Tried Motorcycle Show.
The ambience of flat track racing is captivating. It’s the oldest, most traditional motorcycle competition sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. During the Indy Mile at the Indianapolis State Fairgrounds, we recorded this soundscape with a visual sampling of the uniquely American flat track scene (watch the video below).

Fairmount, a small town in Central Indiana hosts the annual James Dean Festival, where its big Car Show draws many killer old vehicles. We dropped in to capture the culture where “cool lives on.”
We pulled into the lot outside Janus Motorcycles as the sun was going down. We flashed our lights through the large paned window, saying ‘hello’ to the folks inside. They were quick with welcoming waves as they set their long harvest tables with homemade Amish-style food. On a cold November evening, we looked forward to the literal and figurative warmth inside.
