On Friday night, we dropped in on the Int’l Motorcycle Show to check out the new bikes and products. Chicago’s Mods vs Rockers has grown to the biggest event of its kind in the USA. Attendees will see European, Japanese and American motorcycles of all types show up for this top-notch motorcycle and scooter rally. Vintage, custom, modern, and unique bikes line the curbs of North Lincoln Ave and thousands of people fill the sidewalks outside Delilah’s. At this year’s event, Lee Rocker and his band-mates capped off the night with some bass-slappin’ Rockabilly at the Bottom Lounge.

Rockerbox is one of the best motorcycle shows and street parties in the Midwest. Held in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, the one-day festival features a crazy mix of custom, vintage, modern, and unique motorcycles. Of course, the overall gritty scene and inviting vibe at Rockerbox is what drives many to return each year. This video is our attempt to capture and summarize the scene in a little over three minutes.
Our friend and fellow designer, Jeremiah Kuch, texted us one day in early October saying we should make a three-quarter helmet out of a pumpkin. We said, “that’s brilliant.” So we made a three-quarter helmet out of a pumpkin and rode an ol’ motorcycle around our office (Wilkinson Bros Design). Pull up a chair, grab some candy corn and watch the vid, you’ll see Corey riding a Honda CL360 that belongs to another good friend of ours (thanks, Steve!).
There are many, many reasons we attend AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The bikes, the swap meet, the racing and the overall atmosphere created by motorcycle enthusiasts is an experience we don’t wanna miss. We were fortunate to have worked with the good folks at the American Motorcyclist Association to help convey the vibe of VMD (see the video at the end of the post). After going through our pics, here’s an alphabetical and photographic rundown of why we love attending this event.
