You may have heard about Mods vs Rockers Chicago evolving into what’s now called MOTOBLOT (June 13-15th, 2014). It’s a motorcycle event we’ve attended for years and it hasn’t let us down as an opportunity to see unique bikes in a cool city, put on by great hosts. Larry Fletcher and Martin Cimek have created a vintage-bike juggernaut in Chicago with the help of their Ton-Up Chicago cohorts and assembled cast of Rockers. Here are 10 of our own reasons why we’ve attended for years.

Rockers Reunion Trophy Unveiling & Art Show

As a prelude to the big Rockers Reunion Indy event, Ton Up Indianapolis hosted a gallery event to unveil the trophies that would be awarded at the June 1st bike show. We headed downtown, toward Fountain Square, to check out the motorcycle-related art, photography and handcrafted trophies. The weather was perfect, a nice Spring primer to the warm-weather motorcycling ahead.

Mods vs Rockers Chicago 2013 Event Teaser

Yep, it’s the biggest MvR event in America, but that hasn’t stopped Steel Toe Press from making it even bigger in 2013. The top-notch motorcycle and scooter rally will expand to include hot rods among thousands of vintage bikes n’ scoots. With the addition of the Aragon Ballroom, Chicago’s premiere venue for live entertainment, attendees will experience an indoor and outdoor mix of motorcycles and music, featuring Reverend Horton Heat, ‘Stray Cat’ Lee Rocker, the Supersuckers and more great bands.
