Every year, motorcyclists from all over the USA and beyond make the pilgrimage to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. We are longtime attendees to the large venue and have walked and golf-carted the entire place while shooting photos for the AMA. This time, our Ural Motorcycles “cT” was our transportation of choice to help us cover a lot of ground and carry our photo equipment.
“That’s entertainment,” I heard someone say. The crowd cheered, peering down into the Wall of Death, a worn wooden motordrome with nicks and scars. The American Motor Drome Company clearly has this nostalgic stunt show dialed in as “America’s original extreme motorcycle show.”
People know we have a soft spot for sidecars. What they may not know is what these Ural sidecar motorcycles look like when they hit U.S. soil and what happens after they emerge from their Russian pine crates. For our new addition to Good Spark Garage, we visited Heindl Engineering to catch the assembly all on video!

It’s a motorcycle-commute kinda day. Some folks are able to ride to work almost every day (they’re lucky) and some have a commute or job that makes it difficult to ride in. We understand completely and often take the trucks, but today we felt the sun on our backs and the wind in our face!
