2013 Motorcycles on Meridian – Indianapolis – Friday
This photo set is just a fraction of what you’ll see at Motorcycles on Meridian, a huge gathering of bikes during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP weekend. If you’re in town for the race or you’re a local Hoosier, just point your bike toward the center of the city and you’ll see the streets swelling with motorcycles. It all starts up again around 4pm today (Saturday 8/17).

The Jack in the Box food truck was giving away free food. The weather was perfect. The scene was happenin’.When night falls, the bikes continue to pour in from around the city.
Trikes, bikes, choppers, oldies, sportbikes, dual purpose…you name it.We counted six Russian sidecar motorcycles downtown (Urals unite!).The Wilkinson Bros Ural and cafe BMW. We found ’em a good spot just under the Soldiers and Sailors Monument.

I missed the action downtown but made it to the track on Sunday. Glad I got to meet 1/2 of the brains behind Good Spark Garage and dork out over the Ural for a bit.
