In 1902, the first Triumph motorcycle was manufactured in Coventry, England. In 2020, the spirit of this storied British brand has awoken in the Crossroads of America with its latest flagship dealer: Triumph Indianapolis. We stopped by their grand opening on June 27th.
While perusing the Mama Tried Show in Milwaukee, we ran into the guys from Analog Motorcycles and Cafe Racers of Instagram (CROIG). They were headed out for a photo shoot with motorcyclist/photographer, Jun Song, and asked if we’d like to come along. Heck yeah, here’s how it went down…

Ever stare at an old pic and wish you could jump in during that very moment? Each time we’ve sifted through Bill Greene’s collection of vintage motorcycle photos, and it’s been many times, we’re taken back to a time when British motorcycles and early dirtbikes swarmed the mixed terrain of Central and Southern California. Since 1949, Bill’s father (Bill Greene III) immersed himself into motorcycling and thankfully documented his and his buddies’ adventures with the pics you’ll see in this post.
The guys at ICON Motosports have high standards for design. They love to make things work well AND look good (in their words: “go fast, look flash”). Spanning many genres of motorcycling, they have a way of turning heads with their builds that make modern hipster bikes look painfully pedestrian. There’s a gnashing-of-teeth quality to their bikes, like these featured Team RAIDEN Triumph Tiger 800XCs built in collaboration with Motoworks Chicago.
They said it was gonna be bigger and better. They said the entertainment was gonna be top notch. Man, did it rock. The guys at Steel Toe Press upped the ante this year at the 9th Annual Mods vs Rockers Chicago. Featuring the same great focus on vintage motorcycles and scooters, this was the first year at a new location that more comfortably and safely fit bikes, hot rods and vendors. More buzzworthy was the ability to offer an indoor and outdoor stage of killer bands at the historic Aragon Theater.
