Rockerbox 2012 Video

Rockerbox is one of the best motorcycle shows and street parties in the Midwest. Held in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood, the one-day festival features a crazy mix of custom, vintage, modern, and unique motorcycles. Of course, the overall gritty scene and inviting vibe at Rockerbox is what drives many to return each year. This video is our attempt to capture and summarize the scene in a little over three minutes.

Of course, this just scratches the surface of what awaits attendees. There’s no way to capture and share all the bikes and characters in a short vid. You’ll have to visit Center Street in the summer during Rockerbox to soak up all it has to offer; you’ll be glad you did. If you go, keep an eye out for us Wilkinson Brothers and say hi. Or stop in the Fuel Cafe for coffee and a bite to eat. That is, afterall, the origin of this now-huge moto-fest.

Special thanks to the folks behind Rockerbox: Scott Johnson (co-founder), Tim Schneider (co-founder), Maureen Post and Ronny Zastrow. They put on a heck of an event along with their team of moto-enthusiasts.

Thanks also to the musicians featured in the vid, Traveling Lovesick. Hank, the guitarist on the left, is from Milwaukee and the lead singer, Chris, is from Brooklyn.

Keep an eye out for a photo-feature on GSG featuring the 2012 Rockerbox moto-fest and street party.

P.S. Share this with yer friends if you think they’d be interested. The more that attend, the merrier the event.
