Nicky Hayden Tribute Bikes by Analog

Have you bought your raffle tickets for these beauties yet? The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame will hand over the keys to this pair of Hondas to the lucky winner this winter (2019). With a donation, you’re entered for a chance to win a 2018 Honda CBR1000RR and a 2018 Honda XR650L provided by American Honda, but carefully customized by Tony Prust of Analog Motorcycles.

The CBR’s paint job is first class, applied by Jason LeCavalier of Artistimo Customs.

We had a chance to keep watch over these Analog customs for a short time at our shop in Indiana before they headed back to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Ohio. So, we snapped pics to share some of the details and angles we appreciate. Of course, the bikes are even more impressive in person.

We’d ride ’em both, but this flat-track inspired XRL really spoke to us. Just pushing it around the shop tells us enough to know it’d be a blast to rip around the city streets (and beyond). To read about the specs and modifications of this XR650L, click here for the full list on Analog’s build page. We love the custom metalwork and the many top-notch details (like the Analog Mini-Bolt LED turn signals).

Some lucky winner’s garage is going to improve two-fold.

The CBR’s dark tones are a deep blue, one of the classic colors of the iconic Repsol color palette. If you’ve been around motorcycle racing for even a short bit of time, you know the name Nicky Hayden. And, if you’ve read this blog for any amount of time, you’ve probably seen how many times we’ve featured the Kentucky Kid. We’ve long admired his racing family and share in the sadness of many who miss Nicky’s positive presence in and out of the paddock. Both of these bikes are a respectful homage to the late, great #69.

The controls on the custom XR650L caught our attention. So clean, minimal and functional. They’re complemented by the comfy, nostalgic Oury Road Grips. The bike feels light and flickable with the wide handlebars and racy ergonomics.

See the headlights peeking out of the numbers? And those sneaky-cool turn sigs?

If you want to see these bikes before they find a new home, they’ll be at the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame for a short while in Pickerington, OH. You can learn more about the AMA Nicky Hayden Tribute bikes here or enter to win these bikes here, before winter sets in in 2019.

To dig deeper on Analog Motorcycles check out their build page and peruse their killer selection of products. You might be surprised at how much they offer to the motorcycle community.
