Behind the Scenes with Nicky Hayden at Indy Motor Speedway

MotoGP champ Nicky Hayden had the honors of testing the newly paved turns at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our cameras were rolling as the Ducati Superbike 1198 SP came in and out of the garage for adjustments made by Ducati Indianapolis’ mechanics and techs. 

This is a view into Nicky’s garage as he tests the limits of the stock Ducati and its recently imported tires. It was also an opportunity to ask about his perspective on a GP race so close to the OWB and how the Midwest vibe welcomes him home.

Thanks to Mel Harder of IMS for letting us shadow him and Nicky during a test session that has certainly helped spur some excitement leading up to the Red Bull Indianapolis GP in August 2011.
